Award-Winning Director Tracy J Trost and Bestselling Author Jim Stovall Awards Momentum Continues To Build The Lamp Nominated for Best Feature Drama

Tulsa, OK~ Trost Moving Pictures’ awards momentum continues to build! The Lamp was recently named Best Feature Drama at the Trail Dance Film Festival, a prestigious and sought-after honor by filmmakers. It received two more key awards for Best of Festival and Best Actor for Cameron ten Napel.

Right on the heels of the Trail Dance Film Festival wins, this critically-acclaimed film has been chosen as a nominee for Best Feature Drama by the International Family Film Festival committee. Two of the most promising duos in writing, directing, and producing, the teamwork between director Tracy J Trost and bestselling author Jim Stovall never disappoint their audiences. Trost and Stovall first captivated audiences with the multiple award winning film A Christmas Snow, released in 2010.

Trost believes his films go beyond their genre. “We live in a sight and sound generation. Many of our ideals and opinion are being formed by what we see on television and in the theaters. That is why it’s imperative for this generation of filmmakers to create excellent, entertaining, and inspiring content.  Every story has a message and every viewer is soaking in that message.  What message are we giving them?  In the case of The Lamp there is a message of hope.  Hope that no matter how bad things may seem in your life, there is a way out and a way to rebuild.” Director Tracy J Trost

Stovall has seen success in his bestselling books including The Ultimate Gift and his Emmy Award-winning Narrative Television Network.

“I am committed to family books and movies as they are the best channels to reach real people with enduring messages.  It’s wonderful to be engaged in an exciting industry that truly makes a difference.”  Jim Stovall, Author of The Lamp

The 17th annual International Family Film Festival will take place March 21-25 in Hollywood, California at Raleigh Studios. For more information visit
