(Tulsa, OK) – Bestselling author Jim Stovall (The Ultimate Gift) and award-winning director Tracy J Trost are pleased to announce that their new inspirational film The Lamp which stars Oscar winner Louis Gossett Jr. took home the coveted Judge’s Choice award at the 2011 New Media Film Festival this last weekend in Phoenix, AZ.

The film follows Stanley Walters (Jason London) a father dealing with the loss of his son and a marriage on the brink of ruin. New Media Film Festival 2011 Recap

Thursday, August 25th, 2011

The Lamp was up for the Judge’s Award at the New Media Film Festival last week and we’ve got exclusive pics and the results for you here. Director Tracy J Trost and I headed to Phoenix, AZ last weekend to represent The Lamp at the festival. In addition to a screening of The Lamp, Director Tracy J Trost was able to take part in a couple of director’s panels and conduct a workshop on “Following Your Dreams Into Filmmaking”.

Tracy had  a great time interacting with everyone at the festival and inspiring up and coming filmmakers to chase after their dreams and begin taking steps today to make it a reality. Some of the attendees were even able to purchase advance copies of The Lamp and Tracy’s companion book to the film Just Believe. In fact, in Tracy’s workshop he discussed one of the 10 principles of the message covered in his book Just Believe. Tracy talked about the principle of Self Discipline and how they could use it to make their dreams a reality.

If you can’t wait until Sept 20th to get your hands on a copy of Just Believe you can get an advance special edition copy from our online store today: add Just Believe to your cart and use code BIRTHDAY for free shipping, it’s in honor of Tracy’s birthday next week!

Is The Lamp in Your Queue?

Thursday, August 18th, 2011

The Lamp is officially listed on Netflix and you can rate and review it there as well as add it to your DVD Queue if you have one. In fact we could really use your help.

Netflix partly bases their order on how many people add the film into their DVD Queue, so if you want to make sure you and your friends aren’t having to wait for a few DVDs to make their rounds to all of the Netflix customers that want a copy of The Lamp, then please add it to your Queue today!

While you’re there, we would love it if you would give us great rating and review too! That way others will know why they should add the film to their Queue and make The Lamp their next family night or date night movie choice. Thanks so much for being a part of The Lamp team and letting others know about this inspirational family film.

Remember, visit Netflix right now and add The Lamp to your Queue and click the rating button under the image while you are there. Thanks again!

I searched “The Lamp” and I can’t find it?

Please use this link: or if you need to search on a non computer based system please search “Lamp” as it is currently named without “the”.
