Award winning director Tracy J Trost is holding auditions for A Christmas Snow LIVE. Adapted for the theatre stage by Tracy J Trost.

The original all-star cast of the critically acclaimed film A Christmas Snow, Muse Watson, Catherine Mary Stewart and Cameron ten Napel, are about to reunite for the theatre stage adaptation, A Christmas Snow LIVE. OPEN TO ALL ETHNICITIES FOR ALL ROLES:

Andrew:

Male, 40-45 years old. No singing required. Andrew is a well put together business man who lost his wife to Cancer a few years back. He wants a new wife and mother for his daughter, but is concerned with the push back his daughter gives him

Mother:

Female, 55+ years old. No singing required. The Mother is stylish for her age. She is fit and takes very good care of herself. She has not seen her daughter (Kathleen) in about 20 years. She yearns for a relationship with her.

Martin:

Male, 55+ years old. Martin is an older father type who has worked with Kathleen for about 12 years. He is the closest thing that Kathleen has to a father. He looks out for her and tries to guide her as best he can. Understudy for Muse Watson – will need to sing

Claud:

Male, 35-45 years old. No singing required. Claud is a French Chef who is working his way up the ranks in the business. He and Kathleen have put the menu together and he take great pride in his work. He likes to tease Kathleen to get a rise out of her.

Auditions will be held on Sunday August 21 and Monday August 22, 2011 at the Starlite Theatre located at 3115 W Hwy 76 Branson, MO 65616 with callbacks on August 23, 2011.

When called for an audition, actors are asked to prepare two contrasting monologues no more than three minutes combined. Singers should also prepare 16 bars to sing a capella.

Time Commitment:

Rehearsals start September 19, 2011

A Christmas Snow LIVE will run November 1st thru December 30th, 2011. 76 shows.

David Campbell – Set Production Supervisor

Nail by nail, staple by staple, things are beginning to come together quite nicely. I spoke with our Set Production Supervisor today and I have some updates on how things are coming along.

Dave Campbell, our Set Production Supervisor, has a lot on his plate. He is busy making sure that the set pieces are built just right. There are so many specifications that must be met in order to make the logistics run correctly. He is estimating that when things are all said and done there will be over 20 different set pieces. Some will have to be flown in and out with a make-shift fly rig. He says the thing he is looking forward to the most is the challenge of storage. During scenes where there are only 2 or 3 set pieces on stage, all the rest of the 17 – 20 pieces are in the wings. The crew and actors will have have a fun time dancing around each other. He says the circus will be in full swing, but it will be a fun challenge.

Dave has had the privilege of working with Tracy and Jason to come up with, what to keep from the movie and what isn’t needed. There are a few surprises that he is very excited about, but doesn’t want to spoil the experience. So with 2 more weeks of building in Tulsa, they are hard at work. Dave and his team will head to Branson for the final fittings and melding of the minds to make ACS Live a reality!

Tulsa, OK ~ Award winning director Tracy J Trost delivers another production experience with his compelling and inspirational stage adaption of his nationally acclaimed film, A Christmas Snow. The much-talked-about stage version has been greenlighted and goes into production in October with performances starting November 1, 2011 and running through the Christmas season at the Starlite Theatre in Branson, MO.

Filmmaker Tracy J Trost earned national praise for his moving story telling in the A Christmas Snow movie. With thousands of new devoted fans, Trost is aiming high for this anticipated project. He has developed the screenplay for the stage and is enthusiastic about bringing the live theatrical performance to Branson. Original music and Christmas favorites from the movie soundtrack will be used along with original music written specifically for the stage production.

“I couldn’t be more excited to bring the live production of A Christmas Snow to the Branson stage”, states director Tracy J Trost. “We at Trost Moving Pictures recognize Branson has a vibrant theater community and all of us agree that the Starlite Theatre is the perfect place to continue this extraordinary story of forgiveness and reconciliation that has already touched and changed thousands of lives around the world in book and film form.”

Muse Watson (NCIS), who has a background in theater, will reprise his role as Sam. In addition to Watson’s role, original cast member Catherine Mary Stewart (The Last Starfighter, Night of the Comet, Weekend at Bernie’s) will again take on the charismatic and inspiring role of Kathleen.

Trost is currently securing other cast members that will include local talent.

Director Tracy J Trost has a full slate of projects lined up for 2011. His newest film, The Lamp, starring Jason London, Meredith Salenger, Sarah Brown, L. Scott Caldwell and Cameron ten Napel, with Muse Watson and Lou Gossett, Jr. will be released in Spring 2011.

About the actors:

Equally comfortable on the theater stage as he is in front of the camera, Muse Watson first gained notice with several strong performances on stage that helped pave the way for a feature film and television career. His diverse roles in Sommersby, Something to Talk About, Assassins, & Rosewood brought him mainstream recognition but it was the villainous “Ben Willis” in the trendy thriller I Know What You Did Last Summer films and From Dusk Till Dawn 2 that propelled him in the limelight as a chameleonic actor. He made equally impressionable appearances in Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me and Sundance Film-Festival award-winner Songcatcher, challenging himself by playing unique characters.

Transitioning to the small screen, Watson delivered stellar performances in several made-for-television movies including Blind Vengeance and Justice in a Small Town; and the television series, American Gothic, The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles, Matlock, The Lazarus Man, JAG, Walker Texas Ranger, Ghost Whisperer, CSI, and The Mentalist. Going on to land his most notorious TV roles as “Mike Franks” in the award winning drama NCIS and “Charles Westmoreland” in the Emmy & Golden Globes nominated & People’s Choice Awards – winner Prison Break.

Catherine Mary Stewart is excited to reprise her screen role of “Kathleen” in A Christmas Snow, the musical. She looks forward to bringing the message of hope, love, forgiveness and redemption to a whole new audience in this entertaining format.

Catherine’s career has spanned over a period of 30 years, and over 50 different productions from film to television to theater, in England, Canada and the United States. She was living in London studying dance, acting and singing, when she was cast in her first professional acting role as the lead in the rock musical The Apple. The Apple was chosen to open the Montreal World Film Festival in 1980 and has since developed a cult following and was recently screened at Lincoln Center in New York City.

Catherine moved to Los Angeles in 1981 and soon after landed a contract with Days of Our Lives originating the role of Kayla Brady. During Catherine’s tenure with “Days” she was cast in the lead role of “Maggie” in The Last Starfighter. Catherine found steady employment as an actor in movies, including the cult classic Night of the Comet, the 50’s teen comedy Mischief, as well as the female lead in the very popular Weekend at Bernie’s.

A variety of television features a nd miniseries have also given Catherine the opportunity to work alongside such luminaries as Robert Mitchum, Jean Simmons, Robert Stack and Karl Malden. She co-starred with Charles Bronson and Christopher Reeve in the acclaimed TNT movie The Sea Wolf. She also starred alongside Candice Bergen, Rod Steiger, Anthony Hopkins and Angie Dickinson in the widely publicized Hollywood Wives, and played the Joan Collins character as a young woman aging from early teens to mid-twenties in Sins. Stewart received accolades for her work on the mini-series Passion and Paradise with Armand Assante and Rod Steiger.

Most recently she has appeared in several TV movies for Lifetime, including My Daughter’s Secret, Dead at 17 and My Neighbor’s Secret and on the Hallmark Channel, including Sharp Shooter, Generation Gap and Class. Catherine is proud to have had the lead role in the feature film A Christmas Snow, released in October of 2010.

2010 A Year in Review

What a Difference a Year Makes -

It’s amazing to look back as we come to the close of 2010. Just 12 short months ago our first feature film (and only one at that time) FIND ME was just beginning to show up sporadically in faith based bookstores around the country. We had shot it in November of 2008 in just 9 days and on a shoestring budget, it was an incredible experience and with it’s success at film festivals around the country it has proven to be a great first film for us.

A Christmas Snow -

This time last year we were also in the middle of casting for our second feature film, A Christmas Snow which was going to be shot in February of 2010. We had conducted an online casting call and found many great talents, in fact the part of Claude (Rich Swingle) was cast through our online casting call, and he has proved to be a great benefit in getting the word out about the film. We were also honored to have Muse Watson (NCIS), Catherine Mary Stewart (Weekend at Bernie’s), Anthony Tyler Quinn (Boy Meets World), and Cameron ten Napel (Barney and Friends) join the picture as well.

We had 18 days to shoot A Christmas Snow and although the budget was much bigger for us, in terms of Hollywood films and other Indie features we were still shooting with a micro budget. The cast and crew were great and the film has performed well at festivals and has enjoyed exposure at more than 200 screenings around the country, as well as both national and international TV airings. Our distributor, Destiny Image Films helped make it one of the best selling Christmas movies at numerous national chains. It was exciting to hear from our more than 5,000 fans on facebook that A Christmas Snow had become their new Christmas tradition and we are eternally grateful for that as well as the numerous emails and messages we have received from those whose lives have been forever changed from this powerful story of forgiveness and reconciliation. That is always our true measure of success.

The A Christmas Snow project also market award winning writer/director Tracy J Trost’s first foray into the world of authorship with his first book Restored – 11 Gifts for a Complete Life and it’s written as Sam’s Journal and follows him from a year before the star of A Christmas Snow all the way through the film. If you haven’t read it yet, you’ll want to head to your nearest bookstore and ask for it. Those who have read it after watching the film have become huge fans.

We also released a Soundtrack that contained songs from the film, songs inspired by the film, and remixed Christmas classics. Produced by Bryan Popin of Little Boy Wonder Music in Nashville and boasting such artists as Chris Kirkpatrick (NSYNC), Martha Munizzi (Top Billboard Artist), Kelly Morrison (wrote & sang the song Legacy for The Ultimate Gift) Erica Lane, and up and comers: Jason Eustice, Casii Stephan, & Alicia Larson the album is a wonderful collection that will be cherished for years to come.

Raw Talent Screenplay Contest -

After filming A Christmas Snow and while we got it ready for the retail market, we held a contest for screenwriters called the Raw Talent Screenplay Contest and we awarded a $10,000 prize to Jason Parker for his original script, Matter of Life. The Lamp -

Then after the Raw Talent Screenplay Contest writer/director Tracy J Trost went to work on our third feature film The Lamp. Tracy started with the premise from best-selling author Jim Stovall’s book by the same name and wrote a moving tale of love and overcoming loss that is shaping up to be our best film yet. As with A Christmas Snow, Jim Stovall will be writing a novel based on the story in the film and Tracy will be writing a companion book, this time called Just Believe…

All of us at Trost Moving Pictures and the Narrative Television Network are excited at the opportunities The Lamp is bringing to affect others, touch lives, and help charities and organizations as well. Touching on the subjects of losing a child, foster care, adoption, and canine therapy and starring Jason London, Meredith Salenger, L Scott Caldwell, Sarah Brown, Cameron ten Napel, Muse Watson, and Louis Gossett Jr its shaping up to be a powerful story that will affect lives for years to come.

The Best is Yet to Come -

As you can see it’s been a busy year and 2011 is looking to be just as busy with many exciting projects in the works for Trost Moving Pictures and our good friends at the Narrative Television Network and Destiny Image Films. There are two projects in particular that I am extremely excited about, but that’s a story for another day. Thank you so much for your support in 2010 and we hope to continue to be your source for great family friendly stories and projects in 2011. Tulsa, OK ~ A Christmas Snow, the second feature film of Trost Moving Pictures, will make the film festival rounds before its October 8th release at the Grand Rapids and Phoenix Film Festivals.

The 111 minute A Christmas Snow was co-written and directed by Tracy J Trost and co-executive produced by Narrative Television Network founder Jim Stovall, who also penned A Christmas Snow the novel, and produced by Chad Gundersen (Like Dandelion Dust).

A CHRISTMAS SNOW Synopsis:
For Kathleen, (Catherine Mary Stewart) Christmas has always been an unwelcome reminder of her father’s abandonment almost 30 years ago. Although she has tried to forget her past, it has not forgotten her, and in the days leading up to Christmas an unforgiving blizzard traps her in her own home with two unlikely roommates. Sam (Muse Watson), a gentle older man Kathleen took in for the night and Lucy (Cameron ten Napel), the daughter of her soon to be fiancé (Anthony Tyler Quinn) bring her face to face with the hurts of her past. Will she be able to let go and grab hold of a life changing forgiveness or will she continue to be haunted by the pain of the past?
