A Christmas Snow Live is based on the inspirational best-selling film of 2010 starring Muse Watson (NCIS, Prison Break), Catherine Mary Stewart (Weekend at Bernie’s, The Last Starfighter) and Cameron ten Napel (The Lamp, Cool Dog, Barney and Friends). The stage play of A Christmas Snow has received rave audience reviews and brought thousands to tears with its uplifting message of hope and forgiveness.

In a performance to draw both drama and artistry, Trost Moving Pictures will present an enchanting and visually spectacular revisit to the stage adaption of the multi award winning movie. Under the helm of award winning director Tracy J Trost, this consummately performed rendition brings a powerful, poignant and timely message of family, faith and forgiveness. His direction is letter perfect, giving an accurate rendering of the movie’s spirit.

Trost’s design team will completely transform the stage with magnificent light design, special effects and beautifully hand crafted set pieces. A visually and technically engaging adaption with original choreography, music and sound design combined with visual and aural effects.

Trost opens the performance with a visually stimulating scene of young Kathleen and adult Kathleen singing a beautiful duet of original music for the play. This sets the tone for the emotional events that are to come. Kathleen depicts the Christmas Grinch impeccably as she hides in her work from her family and fiancé. Tension fills the stage as Kathleen struggles with the torment of her past and a snow storm that traps her in her home with two unlikely guests, Lucy, is dropped off at her house, due to an unexpected cancellation of a baby sitter, while her father, Kathleen’s fiancé, is out of town on a business trip and Sam a kind older man who narrowly escapes injury is brought home in an act of gratitude. Now with these two strangers in her house, she is confronted with a life changing choice: hang on to her hurt or let go and embark on the journey of hope that waits for the heart that dares to forgive.

The national success of the A Christmas Snow movie makes the stage version even more of a box office draw.

Length: 120 minutes – with a 20 minute intermission

Performances start on November 1st – last show on December 29th, 2012 at the Starlite Theatre in Branson, MO.
