Nine Projects for 2012

Friday, March 9th, 2012
Just Believe

With 9 Projects, We Definitely Believe!

Nine projects including family movies, inspirational books, live events that will change your life, a powerful play on forgiveness, and more is what we have in store for our Trost Moving Pictures family and friends this year. Are you ready?

At Trost Moving Pictures we believe in pushing ourselves and facing our fears, after all we were founded by director Tracy J Trost on a dare to follow his dreams. (You can read that story here.) So this week when I posted that we were working on 6 projects over on our Facebook page, that seemed crazy.

Then I had to update it because I had forgotten one and it looked like we had 7 projects on the stove here and that seemed even crazier. So I guess now that I remembered two more we must be certifiably insane with 9 projects here in the works. As all our fans suggested, we’re doing our best to remember to relax.

So what are all of these projects we are working on? Well, we can’t tell you about all of them, but we can tell you about most of them.

Books

Let’s start with the book director Tracy J Trost is working on. As he mentioned in The Successful Life Mindset Episode 26 he’s had an idea for a 30 day guide to changing your life that focuses on the steps he used to accomplish his dream of becoming a director. He’s currently writing the book now and hopefully we’ll have more info soon. Be sure to follow Tracy on Facebook and Twitter to get updates from him on this and other projects throughout the week. That’s one!

Live Events

Next, let’s look at our live events. In just about a month the Trost Moving Pictures crew is heading to New York City to work with the Center for Creative Media and it’s leader Doug Rittenhouse to broadcast an Acquire the Fire event on God.tv to over 200 countries around the world. The great thing about this event is we bring a crew of industry professionals and they work alongside young kids learning the trade from the Center for Creative Media who are getting hands on training in television broadcast. It’s definitely an adventure.

The next live event we are working on is the One Nation One Day event with Dominic Russo ministries for July 2013. Tracy talked about this event a little bit in the Director’s Diary 2012 Episode 9 and you can learn more about it at www.OneNationOneDay.com. It’s a monumental event and is going to definitely push us all past our comfort zones, but it could has a huge potential to impact people’s lives positively and as you know, that’s what we are all about here at Trost Moving Pictures.

The final live event we are working on is still in the development stage but we are going to Branson next week to meet with some more people about moving it forward and hopefully we’ll be able to share more with you soon. That’s 2 – 4!

Family Movies

Now lets move on to our inspirational family friendly movie projects. As most of you know we are working on a project called Then & Now, which is a romantic comedy based on a book that is yet to be published by bestselling author Jim Stovall. This is a pretty big project and we are moving forward with hopes to get it into production this year or next year. Tracy talks about in the Director’s Diary 2012 Episode 2.

Our next film project, Tracy mentioned in the Director’s Diary 2012 Episode 8 when he talked about his meeting with New York Times bestselling author Andy Andrews. This project is based on Andy’s book The Lost Choice and we are just in the early stages on this one which is sure to be one of the biggest projects Trost Moving Pictures has taken on yet. If you haven’t read Andy’s book The Lost Choice yet, you should get it today so you can see what we’re looking at. It’s on Amazon here The Lost Choice.

The next two family movie projects we are working on are still in the development stage and we can’t share too much about them, but one of them could go into production this year still. That one has to do with adoption again and I am personally really excited about the project and the good that it can be used for. The other project will take some time to develop and Tracy is very excited about this one as well. I can tell you that both of these stories are based on real life events. So that’s 5-8!

The Stage

The final project that we are working on is of course A Christmas Snow Live! which is coming back to the Starlite Theatre for a second season starting November 1st. If you haven’t checked out A Christmas Snow Live! on Facebook you can here ACS Live! on Facebook. Once there you can see the calendar for 2012 and get tickets. This inspirational story has touched so many lives, we can’t wait to hear the great stories that come from this powerful message of forgiveness once again.

Also, we are working on a way for you to officially be a supporter of A Christmas Snow Live! so that you can have a hand in making that impact on people’s lives too! That’s 9!

Wow, nine projects, and that doesn’t include any other projects that spring up in relation to these projects like companion books and things like that. It also doesn’t include The Successful Life Mindset podcast either, that Tracy does on a weekly basis. If you aren’t listening to this podcast, you are really missing out on some amazing discussions with Cliff and Tracy about how to attain true success in life and get inspired. As you can see, we have a lot going on and your prayers and support is greatly appreciated by us all at Trost Moving Pictures.

With hope that you live your life to its greatest potential,

Joe Jestus – PMD at Trost Moving Pictures

WinkIt and TMP Studios

Thursday, February 16th, 2012

I’m sure you’ve done it before. You were watching a great movie, probably one of ours, and you saw something you really liked. It might have been an outfit, an accessory, or maybe even a tool or gadget. How can you find it to buy? Before you would have to freeze the movie and go online and see if you could find it somewhere. Well not anymore. Now you can WinkIt!

TMP Studios is proud to announce that we have licensed our films A Christmas Snow and The Lamp to be used on WinkIt, a startup company based out of MN that is taking all the legwork out of finding those cool items in movies that you want.

For example if you visit the A Christmas Snow page on WinkIt here: ACS on WinkIt you can see the different scenes from the movie and then see which items you can buy from WinkIt that are in those scenes. You could get Kathleen’s (Catherine Mary Stewart’s) jacket or the jewelry she’s wearing. Maybe you want Sam’s (Muse Watson’s) shirt or vest, you can get them.

You can also see The Lamp page here: The Lamp on WinkIt and check out all the different items from The Lamp that the WinkIt team has found or created. Perhaps you really like an outfit that Lisa (Meredith Salenger) or Stanley (Jason London) had or maybe you’re feeling more like you want Charles’ (Louis Gossett Jr’s) bow tie.

It’s a very cool idea and we are proud to be working with them at the beginning and we can’t wait to see how far WinkIt goes. Be sure to tell your friends and family about them too as they are just starting out and they could use some TMP Studios fan support. Because we all know that TMP Studios fans are the best fans out there.

Right on the heels of the Trail Dance Film Festival wins, this critically-acclaimed film has been chosen as a nominee for Best Feature Drama by the International Family Film Festival committee. MovieMaker Magazine and Tracy J Trost

Monday, January 30th, 2012

In case you missed it, last September our very own award-winning director Tracy J Trost did an interview with MovieMaker Magazine about The Lamp. We’ve posted a section below and you can read the whole interview by clicking the link below.

Samantha Husik (MM): What inspired you to adapt Jim Stovall’s book, The Lamp, into a film? What about the book seemed particularly cinematic?

Tracy Trost (TT): When Jim shared The Lamp with me, I immediately got the concept of the book. I knew it was a story that many people could relate to and connect with. Of course with any adaptation from book to movie, there were sub-plots and supporting characters that needed to be added. I remember after I read the book, on a flight from Dallas to Hawaii, I wrote an eight-page treatment of my ideas for additions and changes to make to the story entertaining to viewers. I sent them to Jim and he loved them. We work very well together.

“The Trail Dance Film Festival validated the quality of The Lamp movie and its message in two ways.  First, the overwhelming positive response from the audience when The Lamp was screened and, secondly, when the film received awards for Best Drama, Best Actor, and Best of Festival.” ~ Jim Stovall, Author The Lamp, Co-Executive Producer
